BASEBALL LESSONS
$30.00
BASEBALL LESSONS by Jeff Long, a current professional baseball player with over
5 years of professional experience as well as 10 years experience teaching and
instructing youth and high school players as well as college players.
CAREER:
Jeff played Little League baseball at Smyrna Little League and then played high
school baseball at Campbell High School before playing collegiate baseball at
Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. Jeff graduated from Gardner Webb
with a degree in Public Relations and was drafted after his senior year by the
Atlanta Braves in the 12th round of the 2004 MLB draft. A shoulder injury cut
Jeff’s opportunity with the Braves short during Spring Training of 2005. Jeff then
played three seasons for the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League,
(www.frontierleague.com) a professional independent baseball league. He posted
a 20-9 record in his last two seasons with the team as a starter working over
280 innings (1st in the league) over that span while maintaining an overall
E.R.A. of 3.75. He just finished up this past summer (2009) playing for the
Brockton Rox (www.brocktonrox.com) of the CanAm League. (www.canamleague.com)
Jeff went 6-4 with a 3.55 E.R.A. (6th in the league) and walked 15 batters in
85 innings.
EXPERIENCE:
Jeff worked for three off-seasons in the Charlotte area for HQ4 Baseball
Academy (www.hq4baseball.com) where he built a loyal and satisfied clientele
teaching and instructing young players in the Charlotte area. Now that Jeff has
relocated to the Atlanta area, there is no facilities fee so the rate is only
$30.00 per lesson which is almost half the price his clientele paid at HQ4.
Lessons would last 55 minutes with a 5 minute wrap up and review.
